Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic and Supervisor Jason Haas are inviting neighbors and all of Milwaukee County to join them at this year’s 10th Annual Bay View Bash from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 on Bay View’s bustling Kinnickinnic Avenue between Potter and Clement avenues.
The two represent parts of the Bay View area.
They will have a booth at the event to talk with constituents, to answer questions about Milwaukee County government and to provide informational materials.
“The Bay View Bash has become a favorite, annual outing for my family,” said Chairwoman Dimitrijevic. “As a proud Bay View resident concerned about our environment, I’m especially impressed that once again festival organizers are aiming to make the Bash a near-zero waste event.”
The Bash will provide all participating food vendors with free compostable container options and will work with The Farm’s Compost of Caledonia to ensure the Bay View Bash achieves its zero-waste goal. All compost generated from the Bay View Bash will be gifted back to community gardens or Milwaukee neighborhoods in need of free quality compost.
“We’re proud to represent Bay View, and this event is a celebration of its charm and its uniqueness as one of the city’s most diverse neighborhoods,” Haas said. “We will be there not only to celebrate, but to meet with our neighbors to talk about issues that affect this special neighborhood and the County.”
