Repairers of the Breach has named Debbie Minsky- Kelly clinic coordinator of the organization’s medical clinic for homeless and impoverished Milwaukeeans.
In her new capacity, Minsky-Kelly will direct and supervise operations at the clinic at 1335 W. Vliet St., providing a variety of free medical treatment, assessment and preventive health services for the homeless. She will also train and supervise volunteers and coordinate collaborative programs with area health organizations, colleges and universities.
A licensed clinical social worker and psycho-therapist, Minsky-Kelly previously directed family violence programs and services for Wheaton-Franciscan Health and headed the Family Violence Coalition of Racine County.
She has completed and published extensive research and served as a speaker on the topic at state and national conferences.
Minsky-Kelly earned a Master’s Degree in social work from Loyola University of Chicago and a BA Degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
She resides in Franklin with her husband and two children.
At its daytime resource center, Repairers of the Breach serves homeless assistance, literacy training, GED classes, counseling, medical and health treatment, food and clothing distribution.
