Milwaukee area residents were able to access to employers with job openings plus other resources. They attended the Employment, Training and Education Expo at the Washington Park Senior Center.
The Expo was sponsored and organized by County Supervisor Russell Stamper II and the Social Development Commission (SDC). It featured a number of businesses that were seeking to hire new workers. Also present were organizations offering job training and educational opportunities.
The free daylong event was attended by hundreds of local residents who got the chance to fill out applications as well as get information on valuable programs and services. For more information on employment programs at SDC, visit the agency website at www.cr-sdc.org, click on the “Programs” page and then on the link for “W-2 Training Opportunities”.
