As Men’s Health Month is celebrated nationwide, Eric Von, founder of the online health and wellness website, Brain Brawn & Body, (www.brainbrawnbody.com) along with partner organization Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, will join Mayor Tom Barrett, other city leaders and healthcare community stakeholders to proclaim the month of June as Men’s Health Month. 2014 marks the second year of this recognition.
The objective is to raise awareness among African American men about health issues that disproportionately impact them and their families.

Milwaukee City Treasurer Spencer Coggs announced that just over one hundred sixty-four thousand 2013 Combined Property Tax Bills will be mailed out to Milwaukee taxpayers later today.
Coggs expects that most taxpayers will receive their property tax bills by Saturday, December 14, 2013.
Taxpayers that do not receive their property tax bills by Monday, December 16, 2013, should contact the City Treasurer’s Office, Customer Services Division, at 414-286-2240, and request a duplicate tax bill.
Tax bill copies are also available at no charge via the Internet. Just visit the Office of the City …
City Treasurer Spencer Coggs announced that the Milwaukee Common Council has, this week, passed legislation implementing a proposal made by his office to allow taxpayers to pay both their property taxes and “special charges” together on a ten-month, interest free installment plan.
This ordinance would be implemented with the December 2013 property tax bills and would have the effect of keeping many property owners from going delinquent. City of Milwaukee Treasurer Spencer Coggs announced this week that he has donated $19,680 to 10 community organizations in the City of Milwaukee.
