Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic has announced the launch of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors internship program, which is designed to give students a unique introduction to local government at the County level.
Interns will play an integral part in the daily functions of the Board, assisting County Supervisors with various projects related to public policy and constituent services.
Interns will also have the opportunity to attend committee hearings on behalf of the Board as well as represent the Board at various County events.

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele on Monday named Kimberly R. Walker, an attorney who has held top positions at Johnson Controls, Inc., as Milwaukee County’s corporation counsel.

Milwaukee activist Sachin Chheda was chosen to lead the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County during the local Party’s biennial officer elections last Monday night, Nov. 23. Chheda, a former aide to Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle who works as a consultant to nonprofit advocacy groups, defeated Tyrone Daniels to assume the position of DPMC Chair.
