Youth involved in programs at the Social Development Commission (SDC) have made the Thanksgiving holiday a little better for some area families.

Members of SDC’s Youth Advisory Board organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive at the agency.

They and staff collected items of food that were used to create holiday food baskets for families participating in SDC’s Project GAIN and the Refugee Childcare Microenterprise Project.

Employees at SDC sites joined the young people in gathering non-perishable food items that were sorted into baskets that were delivered to participating families in time for the holiday.
