Utility disconnections loom
16 March 2013
Milwaukee County households struggling with utility bills are being urged to look right now into Energy Assistance. We Energies will begin mailing out disconnection notices beginning March 20 to homes behind in their payments with utility cutoffs to begin in early April. Now is the time to come to an Energy Assistance site at 4041 N. Richards Street, 2701 S. Chase Street or 6848 N. Teutonia Avenue before lines for the program become long.
To find out if you qualify and what you need to bring with you, go to www.cr-sdc.org/index/Programs–Services/Support-Services/Energy-Assistance.htm or call 414-906-2800.
