Celebrate 20 years of family-friendly bowling! Register for the 2013 Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM) Beastly Bowl-a-Thon. The ZSM has been holding this fundraiser for 20 years to raise money for the ZSM’s Sponsor an Animal program. That program, which supports all the animals at the Milwaukee County Zoo, is celebrating its 30th year! The Feb. 2, 2013, event includes snacks such as pizza samples donated by Palermo’s® Pizza, entry into a door-prize drawing and a keepsake. Also, lane-sponsor fees are reduced in celebration of the two anniversaries (see below).

What: The Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s Beastly Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser.

Where: AMF Bowlero, 11737 W. Burleigh St., Wauwatosa.

When: Feb. 3, 2013. Two shifts of bowling are offered: 11:30 a.m. (check-in begins 10:30 a.m.) and 2:30 p.m. (check-in begins 1:30 p.m.).

Why: To raise funds for the Zoological Society’s Sponsor an Animal program, which helps support all animals at the Zoo.

Registration: Register online at zoosociety.org or call (414) 258-2333 by Jan. 25. Registrations will be accepted at the door unless event is filled.

How much: $10 per bowler age 10 & under; $20 per bowler age 11 & older; $5 per non-bowler (includes snacks). The bowling entry fee includes three games of bowling, shoe rental, snacks like pizza samples donated by Palermo’s® Pizza, entry into a door-prize drawing and a keepsake. This year lane-sponsor fees are reduced. You can now sponsor TWO lanes for only $30 (a great way to recognize your family or promote your business while supporting the animals).

Prizes: Attendees can raise pledges to qualify for prizes. Raising a minimum of $100 in pledges qualifies you for Zooper Grand prizes. The Zooper Dooper Prize goes to the person who raises the most in pledges.

Other details: To reserve one or more lanes (maximum of five bowlers per lane), sponsor a lane or donate a prize, please call Becky at (414) 258-2333 by Jan. 25. Bumper bowling is available for children, and the lanes are handicapped-accessible.
