Will Allen, founder/CEO of Growing Power, Inc. was congratulated on Friday, Nov. 16 for being honored with the James Baker Award at the 23rd Annual Community Brainstorming event. Allen is joined by Wisconsin’s own Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and California Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who was the keynote speaker for the event. During her keynote address, Waters commended Milwaukee for having such an organization such as the Community Brainstorming Conference, and expressed how such organizations should exists throughout the country.
