Priscilla Coggs Jones in action standing up…For our transit bus riders drivers and the public

18 February 2012

Priscilla Coggs-Jones said “My deepest prayers and heart goes out to the mother that was beat up in a violent manner. I keep all transit riders and drivers in prayer as we all execute our daily tasks“

Milwaukee County Supervisor Candidate for the 5th District Priscilla Coggs-Jones took to the streets on 35th and Fond du Lac to make recommendations on the recent violent attacks on passenger and bus transit drivers. Although we are challenged during these tough times we must protect everyday people who ride on the Milwaukee County Transit Bus System and our loyal transit drivers of the Amalgamated Transit Union.

Milwaukee County Supervisor Candidate Priscilla Coggs- Jones recommends a solution. That Milwaukee County establish a text hotline that passengers and/or drivers can text to give public safety officers: Milwaukee County Sheriffs or Milwaukee Police Department could respond immediately to disturbances.

In December, Urban Grass Roots I.N.C. spoke out to request as community activist requesting to Milwaukee County anonymously to implement a text/hotline service where bus riders can report any violence that takes place on the bus as it is happening so that witness will not become a target while reporting.
