Kwanzaa Community celebration held at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society

Clay Benson and his grandson lit a candle signifying the first day of the seven day Kwanzaa Community celebration held at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society. Sunday, Dec. 26 was the first day, which is Umoja-Unity of the seven day of principles for the holiday. The event was free and open to the public. (Photo by Robert A. Bell)
