Valuable resources offered

Dozens of organizations and businesses will offer their services and programs to the public at the Fall Community Job and Resource Fair. The free event will be held Sat., Sept. 18 from 11 am to 3 pm at St. Mark AME Church at 16th and Atkinson.

The Job and Resource Fair will feature employment training opportunities, healthcare resources, housing, and educational services. Attorneys will also be on hand to answer legal questions at no charge, staff from Child Support will discuss with residents possible debt reduction and Drivers License Recovery personnel will to help review traffic cases.

Also being offered at the fair is a series of workshops designed to present helpful information on a variety of topics. Areas to be covered include diabetes, starting up your own business, financial education, and foreclosure prevention.

The Fall Job and Resource Fair is being coordinated by the Social Development Commission, Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and St. Mark AME Church.
