Wisconsin State Fair 2010 – Jordin Sparks and Michael Jackson Tribute

6 August 2010 Please wait No Comment

The Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage for the 2010 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U. S. Cellular will continue to offer an eclectic mix of music that appeals to the diverse Fair audience. The 2010 Fair will take place Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 15 at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis.

On Friday, August 6, Michael Jackson fans of all ages will have the opportunity to relive the hit songs of the late music legend’s career complete with an extraordinary laser spectacular when the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage welcomes The Spirit of Michael at 8pm. The show features an M.J. tribute artist in a ghost-like atmosphere, and on several songs the show will be staged as if it were a live Michael Jackson concert setting. Michael Jackson himself acknowledged that the performers on the show are the best-of-the-best prior to his passing. In addition to recreating the King of Pop’s performances through the use of animated laser graphics and 3-D holographic effects, at points in the show special interview segments will be shown featuring fans from all walks of life remembering one of the top performers of our time. Concertgoers will be taken on a visual journey beginning with Michael’s most recent achievements, and then travel backward to his early years as a child prodigy. This is an audio and visual journey that true Michael Jackson fans will not want to miss! The award-winning a cappella group InPulse will open the show with a performance that will showcase the ultimate instrument – the human voice. InPulse takes the “vocal band” sound into mainstream popular music bringing genuine musical artistry to the stage with a selection of songs as broad as their vocal range.

The Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage will also welcome season six American Idol winner Jordin Sparks on Sunday, August 8 for a 6pm show. Jordin’s career has been a whirlwind of success since winning the coveted American Idol title. The critically- acclaimed Sparks toured with the Jonas Brothers, saw her self-titled debut go platinum while spawning three Top 5 hits on Billboard’s Pop singles chart including “Tattoo,” “No Air,” and “One Step at a Time.” She already has an American Music Award (2008) and a Grammy nomination (2009) to her credit, and her 2009 release of Battlefield has proven as strong, with hits including “Battlefield” and “S.O.S. Let the Music Play” topping the charts and dominating the airwaves. An opening act for Jordin Sparks will be announced in the near future. Tickets for these Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage concerts along with tickets for the Wisconsin State Fair may be purchased online at WiStateFair.com or in person at the Wisconsin State Fair.
