Veterans at Family House, Inc. were given a special tribute on Memorial Day

Veterans at Family House, Inc. were given a special tribute on Memorial Day by Clarene Mitchell, Community Liaison for VITAS Innovative Hospice Care. The residents and staff in attendance received a flag and tac pin of the American flag in appreciation for their military service. Many of the Veterans shared their military memories with pride. Family house is a long-term care facility for elderly and disabled residents. It is located in the heart of Milwaukee’s African American community. Mrs. Cordelia Taylor began Family House over 20 years ago when she transformed the home she raised her family in into a care facility, now it includes a row of houses providing an environment that does not resemble any facility offering the same level of care.
